The wood is Okume, (Brazilian Mahogany) It is a ply imported from France, which is made under very high pressure which gives it the acoustic properties. Bars are an aluminum extrusion and can never warp.The weight is a pretty incredible 5 pounds four ounces, and is the lightest of any 36 string autoharp manufactured today.
